hahah... the fiancee requested me to write this post..."B! gi la update ur blog... tulis la pasal yg kiter gi changi boardwalk tu. me boring ar asek gi blog u tengok benda samer jer."... hahahha.
Ok here goes....... The thought of going to changi boardwalk has been stapled in my mind for a couple of weeks now. Didn't know much abt the place, all i know it was a place where almost all enthusiastic photographer would go for their "walk about". The urge to go there grew after reading rashid's photo blog. N when lynn told me that her father was going to Bangkok for the weekend n let me use the big fat family car, i was trilled, n planned to go to changi with Sid N Rashid.
On the Saturday, the second day of my medical leave, although still a lil' feverish, I was convinced to go ahead with the plan... I went to lynn's to pick up the car. Rashid told me he would be late n he had to pick up some friends who wanna tag along so i make arrangement with Sid n then ask Adzwan n fiancee if they wana join us. Unfortunately adzwan got some other plans. The fat car was feeling a bit empty with just the 3 of us.
After i pick Sid up, i went back home to fetch my watch n also a map book for assistance just in case we got lost... just as i was moving off, rashid called to ask if i could pick khairul up. I was ecstatic. its been awhile since i met khairul, n the car are more like the "fun V" now. So i sped off to jurong point to pick mr. crab n fiancee.....
it took somewhere ard 30mins for us to reached the location. since i already checked the map before we move off, we were there before we know it... haha. Its the first time for all of us, n damn are we excited.
Changi boardwalk is a walk way around the coast, made of wood planks. Theres 4 part of the boradwalk all joint together. The sunset walk, the kelong walk, the cliff walk n the Sailing Point Walk. it stretches 1.2km around the coast of changi.
We started from the main entrance of the boardwalk. then the walk way was devided into two sides, on the right was the cliff walk n sailing point walk, n to the left was the kelong n sunset walk. so we decide to walk the cliff n sailing point walk first since we going to take picyures of sunset at the sunset walk later.
The air was different there, the natural atmosphere wasnt disturb by the harsh urban n industrial estate yet... We were excited of how beautiful the place is. Almost felt that i was on a holiday. We walk all the way to almost the end of the walk way before turning back to meet rashid n his friends at kelong walk...
the whole walk was breath taking. Some newly wed were there for photoshoot. me n fiancee, even ros was like planning to have our photoshoot there. It was Fun! We laugh n joked, at the same time enjoying the fresh sea breeze.
We met up with rashid n his friends abt 5 of them. Well they are heavily equiped. With tripods , flash guns, umbrellas n big ass cameras. this is like a super photoshoot expedition. They are indeed friendly but i think i'm not in the same league. But how i wish i have it all... haha.
As we watched the sky change color, the people passing by, the anglers readying their bait, everything seems like slow motion. Tranquil n serene is the atmosphere. I try to get some decent shot of the sunset, failing. i n constantly distracted by the relaxing ambience. i was wanting to enjoy the moment rather then capturing it.Well i think rashid had few awesome shot that i envy so much! After the sun was gone, we gathered n chat. While rashid n friends are trying out lighting technic with their bad ass equipments, i stood there drooling... haha.
All were hungry after that, n we went to changi village to eat, but unfortunately, the looser driver (me) couldnt get a parking lot. So we move to Bedok Corner for Dinner. Soon after the dinner i send all back to their sweet homes.
Its was a great advanture, with ol' friends n new ones. Hope to do this more often... haha. okey ppl i m starting to loose my vocabulary to sleepiness
